Refund policy
At Caffreys we are renowned for our excellent customer care team and quick delivery service nationwide. Our team are highly trained in this field and ensure all customers get the upmost service from our brand. We use a third party company to look after any minor faults once reported within the warranty of the sale. This company is skilled in furniture repair and installation. As stated in our terms and conditions under Section 11. Returns Policy: It is your responsibility to return the item(s) to our head office in Oldcastle Co. Meath. We recognises that many of our customers do not have the means to return some items, and so we will arrange collection during normal business hours (Monday to Friday) if requested. In such circumstances, a charge of €49 or €79 will be made to cover the cost of collecting and returning the items. This charge depends on location and items that need collecting.
Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase. Cancellations requested after 24 hours will be eligible for store credit ONLY.
Please Note: Custom made orders, floor models or display models cannot be returned. For hygiene reasons, mattresses and mattress toppers which have been removed from their original packaging may not be returned unless they are faulty.
Right of Withdrawal (EU Customers)
If you are a consumer based in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period
The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day on which you (or a third party nominated by you, other than the carrier) take physical possession of the goods. Where your order consists of multiple items delivered separately, the period expires 14 days from the day you receive the last item. Where this period ends on a weekend or public holiday, it is extended to the next working day.
How to withdraw
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you can:
- Log into your account to access our self-serve returns and cancellations flow, where you can find your order and submit your request directly, or
- Email us at online@caffreysfurniture.ie with a clear statement of your decision, including your name and order number.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your communication before the 14-day period has expired.
If your order has not yet been fulfilled, you may request a cancellation through your account at any time before fulfilment. Once an item has been fulfilled, you may request a return within the 14-day window described above.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from your purchase, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the costs of standard delivery (except for any supplementary costs arising from your choice of a delivery type other than the standard delivery we offer).
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw. We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment you used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or until you have supplied evidence of having sent the goods back, whichever is the earliest.
Returning the goods
You must send back the goods without undue delay, and in any event no later than 14 days from the day you communicate your withdrawal to us. The deadline is met if you send the goods before the 14-day period has expired.
You will bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling them beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to: Personalised goods.
Refunds
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within the timeframe stated above
